Well... here it is... my last senior sneak peek of the season! I have met so many great high school seniors in the past several months. Every year I think I've met the coolest kids ever and then a new year rolls around and I get to meet an entirely new bunch of fantastic kids! I love my job!

Here's another senior sneak peek! Morgan had her shoot at the UWSP campus last week. It ended up being a pretty nice day considering the cold rainy weather we've had recently. Plus, the campus is a unique place to do a session because I can shoot both outdoors and inside some of the buildings (like the fine arts center).

We all had a good time laughing at how he'll turn himself completely around, away from me. Then I'll try to catch him from the other direction and he'll turn around again. He's lucky he's such a cutie patootie!

Here's a sneak peek from Olivia's senior portrait session at Lensmire's Village Gardens. Since we've already had frost a few nights, there were some spots that no longer were bloomed like they were when I was there a month ago photographing a wedding. but that place is so beautiful regardless! Autumn leaves on the trees and shrubs, plumes on grasses and containers filled with colorful mums were a few of the many things that we used for backdrops.

The fall color is beginning to grace the studio with it's presence! The prairie grasses are turning shades of oranges and reds and they are especially gorgeous in the late afternoon light. Austin came here for his senior portrait session last week and I got to take advantage of the rich warm colors during his shoot. He brought along his truck... and we all know how much I love doing the truck shots! Check it out!

For the E-Session, we spent the day here and there around Stevens Point and finished up out at our place. Lucy even got involved ...sort of. It's official, our one and only baby is now a school girl. Lucy is starting kindergarten today. As we waited for the bus I watched her face change from excitement and pride, to nervous and a little fearful. And then at 7:00 a.m. with a kiss and a promise to be waiting for her at the end of the driveway this afternoon, we sent her away on the big yellow bus.

What a great time Paul & I had photographing Nicole & William's wedding last weekend! Besides being an absolutely lovely couple to work with, they also had some pretty awesome locations for us to shoot in! The ceremony itself was at Lensmire's Village Gardens. Afterwards, we headed to Wisconsin Rapids and photographed the wedding party outside the South Wood County Historical Museum before finishing up the evening at Camp Alexander.

I photographed Chris & Amy's beautiful Stevens Point wedding a few weeks back. After the ceremony, we headed downtown for some fun shots against the backdrop of the historical buildings on the the town's square. There was even a little bit of playing in the fountain! The evening wrapped up with dancing to the fabulous Spicy Tie Band. Congratulations, Chris & Amy! Best wishes to you in all of your new adventures together!

We were hoping to see a rich sunset, but it ended up being a beautiful cloudless evening (and we can't go complaining about that these days, right!?) The evening sun on the water did cast a golden glow that worked beautifully for us and Caitlin got a kick out of all blaring screams from the sandhill cranes.

I was invited to Keagan's birthday party this past weekend to photograph his one year portraits. It was also a good opportunity to get a variety of family pictures since many of his relatives were gathered to celebrate! Poor little Keagan had been sick for a few days and was really feeling under the weather the day of the party. Here are a few images from a session last week. Liz, Jason and their two children, Toren & Liam joined up with me on the UWSP campus for a family session. Toren is getting to be quite a natural in front of my lens, as I have been photographing her ever since she was inside her mommy's belly! Now, little Liam is getting in on the action as well ... following in his big sister's footsteps of extreme cuteness!

Here is the sweetest new member of my extended family! Landyn was only 10 days old when my camera and I paid him a little visit. He is the most precious little thing who murmers sweet little happy sighs while sleeping. LOVE HIM! Congratulations, to my cousin Nicole and her husband Lance!

Happy 2011 to everyone! There is such a refreshing feeling about the start of a new year. It's an opportunity to stop and look both ways, to reflect on the past year and prepare to move forward. I have set many goals for myself, both personal and professional. As different as they all are, one theme runs clear through them all... family. Quality time with my family, my husband and daughter is top priority for me this year. With a new home and a growing business, it is all too easy to let myself get engulfed in work and projects. This year, I will have a few more Saturday mornings spent on the dock and weeknights cuddled up with my honeys on the couch (with the computer OFF.)

Christmas Deadline!

Christmas is right around the corner! Today was the deadline to have print orders in time for Holiday gift giving. I am up to my eyeballs in custom designed Christmas cards and print orders! Once that is done things are really going to slow down around here for the season. I'll get a chance to prepare for 2011. I'm upgrading all my computer software, getting in framing samples from Wild Sorbet (I am crazy excited about this) and bringing some fresh new items to next year's product offerings!

A photographer never posts without a picture, right? Here is my gorgeous niece, Jocelyn and her fiance, Chad. Yes, I guess I am old enough to have married nieces. Congrats you two!!

If you've visited my office before then you have surely seen her zebra print "crying" Christmas card from last year. In an attempt to try to outdo last year's adorable card we drove poor little Molly into meltdown mode. This is when we new the session had come to an end. ;-)

I had a nice afternoon shoot with Elisabeth's family the other day. As the days were getting colder, rainier and generally yuckier we were starting to think that the shoot wouldn't happen. We lucked out with last weekend's amazing fall weather! Here's a few from Jordan Park...

Adam - High School Senior

Adam is one of the last high school seniors for the year, and probably my last outdoor shoot here at the studio for the year. It's been an exciting and busy summer! I am ready for my "winter break", though. I'm looking forward to slowing down, reflecting on this past year, and making plans for 2011!
